dBadge Standard Noise Dosimeter
The "Standard" is the most popular version of the dBadge
- Measures a worker's noise exposure
- No wires to catch on machinery
- Lockable controls and display to avoid tampering
- Rechargeable battery for up to 28 hour operation
- Time History Noise Profile
The "Standard" version includes the Time History. When downloaded to a computer, this gives a graph of the sound level over time and the ability to post-process the measurement.
Occupational Noise Regulations
The dBadge measures with both Q=3 and Q=5, making it suitable for use in the USA (OSHA, MSHA, ACGIH and other regulations), in Europe and Canada (ISO) and most other parts of the world.
Is the "Standard" Right for Me?
The Standard version of the dBadge measures all the parameters required by the regulations and also stores the average and Peak values every minute. Although not usually demanded by the regulations, this Time History store is useful if you want to identify the noisiest times of day or if you want to recalculate the noise exposure of a worker for different shift patterns. If you have the Standard version then you should also have the Insight software so that you can take advantage of the extra measurements.
If you do not need the Time History graphs or do not want to use software then we recommend the dBadge Lite version.
If you want to carry out more detailed hearing protector analysis then please have a look at the dBadge Plus, which adds "C" weighted average measurements.
