The "Lite" version measures all the parameters that are needed to meet the occupational noise regulations.
Occupational Noise Regulations
The dBadge measures with both Q=3 and Q=5, making it suitable for use in the USA (OSHA, MSHA, ACGIH and other regulations), in Europe and Canada (ISO) and most other parts of the world.
Is the "Lite" Right for Me?
The Lite version of the dBadge is intended for anybody making basic occupational noise assessments. This version of the dBadge measures all the parameters required by the standards and guidelines but does not provide the extra measurements for a more detailed analysis. If you are working to a budget and just need to provide the parameters that are demanded by the standards then this is the best version.
This is also the version that we would recommend if you do not want to download the measurements. You can read the main parameters (Lavg, TWA, Leq, Lepd) from the dBadge display without the need for software.
If you want to have a graph of the sound level over time to allow a more detailed analysis of the working day then we recommend the Standard version of the dBadge.
